TeeMates Inc. (“TeeMates,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the TeeMates mobile application (the “App”), available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, profile photo (optional), and golfing preferences.
Location Data: With your permission, the App may access your device’s location to show nearby golf groups or courses. Location access is optional and can be disabled in your device settings.
Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you use the App (e.g., feature usage, session duration) to help improve performance and user experience.
Subscription Data: Information about your premium subscription (through the App Store or Google Play). We do not store payment details; billing is handled securely by Apple or Google.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide and personalize your experience in the App.
Help you discover local golf communities and players.
Facilitate communication between participants in an active golf round.
Operate, maintain, and improve our features and services.
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.

3. Chat and User Content

Chat functionality is available only among participants of an active round. When a round ends, all related chat messages and round details are permanently deleted from our systems. Users are responsible for the content they share. TeeMates does not monitor private chats but may investigate reports of misuse or abuse.

4. Advertising

The free version of TeeMates displays ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers or limited data as described in Google’s Advertising Privacy Policy. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. We may share limited data only to:

All user data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which adheres to industry-standard security practices. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your profile and data remain active while your account is in use. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting info@getteemates.app. When your account is deleted, all personal data, including chat and round data, will be permanently removed from our systems.

8. Children’s Privacy

TeeMates is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Your Rights

Access or update your account information within the App.
Request deletion of your data by emailing info@getteemates.app.
Withdraw location permissions at any time in your device settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available in the App and on our website at https://getteemates.app/privacy. Your continued use of TeeMates means you accept any updated terms.
